Hourly rates are usually charged for jobs that are 2hr+ however we do treat our clients individually and some smaller tattoo pieces will be quoted up front rather than by the hour. You can confirm this with your artist on the day or during your consultation, Please ask the question.

What is the best payment method?
We do not have Eftpos facilities so if you could bring CASH in with you for your booking would be greatly appreciated.

Where can I park?
There is free 2 hour parking on the side street alongside the shop on Gaza Road. For longer periods there is unlimited parking after the 2P sign on Gaza Roads which is a short 2-3 minute walk from the front door.

Do your artists do cover ups?
Yes we do. We will, of course have to have a look at the existing tattoo before we can advise you of the best approach. In some cases we will recommend lazer removal to lighted the tattoo so that the cover up makes sense.

Can you rework/finish my old tattoo?
In most cases we will not work with other artists tattoos as we uphold a very high standard of tattooing here at Pretty In Ink and our artist take a lot of pride in their work. However we always encourage you to ENQUIRE and send an image through of what you'd like covered up. The decision to take on the job is left up to our artists.

How long is the waiting period to get a booking?
The wait period could be anywhere from 1 day to 4 months. It does vary greatly depending on the tattoo artist, the time of the year, the size of the tattoo, preparation required etc. We do get cancellations so if you're wanting to get tattooed asap we can put you on a priority waiting list to get you in sooner rather than later.

How should I prepare for my tattoo session?
It is important to eat well before your appointment even if you may not feel like it. Having low blood sugar and getting tattooed is not a good combo, Also having a good night sleep and avoiding Alcohol the night before can help you sit a longer session and prevent you feeling anxious/nervous before your tattoo. You are welcome to bring a sugary drink, snacks, tablet, charger, headphones to help get you through. Longer sessions may include lunch/tea breaks and there are a number of quality cafes and restaurants nearby.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

  • Apply Battle Royal Tattoo aftercare Butter lightly 2-3 times a day for 10 days (paw paw can also be used)
